Day/ Night Shift Available

12 hour shifts available. Must have current NYS unrestricted License to practice professional nursing 1 year of ICU Experience required.

Responsibility Summary

• The Registered Nurse applies knowledge of nursing theory, technical and communication skills in delivering high quality compassionate care to patients and families.
• The Registered Professional Nurse assesses patient need, develops a plan of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, provides direct care, evaluates patient progress, and coordinates the care delivery throughout the patients episode.
• The Registered Nurse in Intensive Care develops specialized skill to care for critically ill unstable patients.
• The ICU RN develops a strong working knowledge of life support machines, cardiac monitoring systems and other life preserving medical equipment and nursing interventions essential for a critical care nurse.
• The ICU RN is accountable for patient family education to assist the patient and family in understanding self care beyond hospitalization including lifestyle changes to support health and healing.
• The ICU Registered Nurse is expected to promote comfort, and provide emotional support in a healing environment.

Salary: $72,000.00 - $82,000.00 per year
