Supplier Quality Engineer
We are seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to work for an industry leading manufacturer in the Syracuse, NY area. This is a direct hire opportunity within the Advanced Engineering Group supporting an exciting new product development initiative.
Key Duties Include:
- Develop and implement new component quality processes.
- Establish supplier quality protocols to ensure manufacturing processes comply with requirements.
- Investigate, analyze and resolve supplier quality problems.
- Conduct audits, analyze defect trends and lead continuous improvement projects to eliminate defects and error proof supplier processes.
- Enact corrective action processes related to any product or customer complaints and determine root cause.
Education and Experience:
- BS in Engineering or related.
- 3+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer or Supplier Quality Engineer capacity.
- Knowledge of PPAP processes and SPC.
- Problem solving skills (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone).
- Ability to travel up to 50% to supplier sites.
