Job description:
We are seeking an experienced Assisted Living Facility Administrator with strong knowledge of New York State assisted living regulations, healthcare laws, compliance requirements, and state programs.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record managing an assisted living facility in New York and must be comfortable taking full responsibility for operations, regulatory compliance, staffing, resident services, state reporting, inspections, and facility performance.
This is a hands-on leadership position for an experienced professional who understands the New York regulatory environment and can confidently manage a facility through day-to-day operations and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate must have practical working knowledge of New York's assisted living and senior-care system, including applicable state programs and regulatory agencies.
Experience with programs and areas such as:
- New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH)
- New York State Office for the Aging (NYSOFA)
- Medicaid programs and reimbursement
- Medicare-related programs and coordination
- Managed Care / MLTC
- Long-Term Care programs

Medicaid Assisted Living Program (ALP), when applicable

Nursing Home Transition and Diversion (NHTD), when applicable
- HCBS programs
- Adult Day Health Care and other community-based programs
- Resident eligibility and benefit coordination
- State reporting and regulatory documentation
- Quality assurance and performance improvement
- Survey preparation and deficiency correction
Required Qualifications
- Significant experience managing an Assisted Living Facility in New York State
- Strong knowledge of New York State assisted living laws and regulations
- Demonstrated experience with NYSDOH surveys, inspections, compliance, and corrective action
- Strong understanding of New York healthcare and senior-care programs
- Experience managing healthcare staff and facility operations
- Strong knowledge of resident rights and regulatory requirements
- Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and take full ownership of facility operations
- Strong computer, documentation, and reporting skills
- Appropriate New York State Administrator/Executive Director credentials or qualifications, as required for the facility
