K. Jacobs Executive Search is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join the Science & Technology practice of a respected consulting engineering firm.
This is a leadership role for an accomplished engineer who can take projects from concept through construction. You will design and oversee high-performance mechanical systems — including air, water, and plant systems — and provide technical direction on detailed design and documentation.
The role is client-facing, requiring strong judgment and the ability to manage relationships while mentoring junior staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- 12–15 years of experience with mechanical design in building systems, ideally including labs, research, pharmaceutical, or high-tech facilities
- Strong technical expertise across HVAC, utilities, and infrastructure systems
- Demonstrated leadership and communication skills
