A well-established global automotive manufacturer is seeking a Senior Product Development Engineer to support the re-engineering and validation of high-pressure fuel injectors and pump systems. This role focuses on technical leadership across reverse engineering, remanufacturing development, and product validation within a regulated, performance-driven environment.

What you will be doing as a Senior Product Development Engineer:

  • Lead reverse engineering and analysis of legacy and competitive fuel system components
  • Develop and improve remanufacturing and rework processes for injector and pump assemblies
  • Support new product evaluations, validation testing, and DVP&R execution
  • Partner with manufacturing to optimize reuse of core components and drive cost reduction
  • Define specifications, inspection standards, and performance requirements
  • Mentor engineers and provide technical support to production and field teams

What you will need as a Senior Product Development Engineer:

  • BS or MS in Mechanical, Automotive, or related Engineering discipline
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with diesel fuel injection systems (common rail, high-pressure systems, injectors, pumps)
  • Strong CAD and GD&T skills; experience with validation and launch processes
  • Familiarity with ISO/IATF quality systems and APQP methodologies
  • Proven problem-solving ability in cross-functional manufacturing environments
