This is a fantastic opportunity for a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with deep expertise in private land development to lead complex, high-impact projects and mentor the next generation of engineers.
About the RoleAs a Senior Civil Engineer, youll oversee the design and execution of large-scale private land development projects, from conceptual design through construction. Youll manage multidisciplinary teams, engage with clients, and deliver exceptional engineering solutions that drive community growth and sustainability.
This role requires both technical mastery and strategic leadership, ensuring every project meets the highest standards of quality, innovation, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage multiple private land development projects from start to finish.
- Oversee design activities including site grading, roadway design, utility layout, and subdivision planning.
- Collaborate closely with clients, architects, planners, and regulatory agencies to ensure project success.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and design staff.
- Monitor budgets, schedules, and deliverables to maintain efficiency and quality standards.
- Participate in business development by maintaining client relationships and supporting proposal preparation.
Qualifications:
Qualifications- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering (required).
- California Professional Engineer (PE) license (required).
- 1525 years of progressive experience in private civil land development.
- Proven expertise in site grading, roadway, and utility design.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
- Strong client relationship management and team leadership capabilities.
