Category Manager will manage the procurement of goods and services to include negotiating contracts and managing vendors. 

 

The person has to have a Bachelor's degree to be considered and my client will not consider someone who doesn't have experience purchasing capital equipment.

Must have purchasing experience in manufacturing and also have previous experience in contract negotiations and vendor relations. Leadership skills are essential. Project management experience and APICS certification are preferred.

 

Someone who has only been a Buyer will not be big enough for what they are looking for.
