Position Title: Multi-Site Leasing Agent
Reports To: Resident Manager
Locations: 5 Properties in Central/South New Jersey (Office in Matawan, NJ)
Schedule: Full-Time, including emergencies- see hiring manager for specific details
Position Summary
Our client is a growing NJ based Property Management organization that is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Multi-Site Property Manager to oversee multiple multi-family communities. This leadership role is ideal for a decisive, people-focused professional who thrives on building strong teams, delivering operational excellence, and fostering vibrant communities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Vision
- Act as the primary leader and decision-maker across multiple properties, setting clear expectations and driving operational excellence
- Build, lead, and retain a high-performing on-site team by hiring top talent, providing hands-on training, and creating a team with accountability and achievement
- Set property performance goals and take decisive action to meet or exceed financial and operational targets
Sales & Marketing
- Lead sales and marketing initiatives to drive occupancy and revenue, developing outreach strategies that position each property competitively in the market
- Personally perform and oversee leasing activities, coaching the team to close deals effectively
- Develop and implement marketing campaigns, oversee market surveys, and make strategic recommendations to maintain strong market presence
Resident Experience
- Champion a resident-first culture by setting service standards and ensuring consistent, high-quality interactions
- Resolve escalated resident issues with authority and fairness, maintaining trust and satisfaction
- Oversee resident engagement programs, community events, and communication strategies that strengthen community bonds
Operational Excellence
- Take full ownership of daily property operations, including maintenance oversight, vendor management, property inspections, daily task list, and contract negotiations
- Directly manage apartment turnovers, move-ins, move-outs, and ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards
- Implement process improvements and maintain internal controls to enhance efficiency and operational consistency
Financial Accountability
- Serve as the financial steward for each property—owning rent collections and expense control
- Analyze delinquency data and make independent decisions to maximize profitability and minimize delinquencies
- Present financial updates and strategic plans to during virtual and in person delinquency meetings
Qualifications
- Proven multi-site property management experience with a track record of independent decision-making and leading teams across multiple locations to success
- Background in leasing, sales, and customer service, with strong business development acumen
- Exceptional leadership presence with the ability to inspire, coach, and hold teams accountable
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, polished presentation style, and executive-level professionalism
- Advanced organizational and operational management skills with keen attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Yardi preferred
- Knowledge of Section 8 and New Jersey Fair Housing regulations
