This company is a multi-discipline, full-service consulting engineering firm specializing in design and procurement for natural gas compression facilities. They have an immediate opening for an Electrical Engineer in its Facilities Engineering Group.

SUMMARY OF MAJOR DUTIES:
This position will use prescribed methods in performing specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
 
 
REPORTS TO:
Project Manager and Senior Project Manager
 
AUTHORITY/SUPERVISORY REQYUIREMENTS:
May supervise Drafters, Designers, or Technicians as assigned by Sr. Project Manager or Project Manager.
 
RELATIONSHIP TO OTHERS:
Interacts with Project Managers, clients, vendors, Designers, Drafters, and other engineering disciplines.

Problem solver, independent thinker, self-starter. Ability to interact successfully with all levels of staff, clients and vendors. Able to work in a collaborative process. Able to plan, organize and implement with successful and timely results. Open to change; receptive to new ideas and concepts.
 
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and evaluate shop drawings and product submittals. Ability to write specialized reports and routine correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to understand and follow safety instructions.
 
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to the discipline specific tasks, such as power distribution, power system analysis (fault current calculations, protective
device coordination, arc-flash energy calculations and similar analysis), motor control and system automation.
 
REASONING SKILLS:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret and extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to apply discipline specific basic engineering concepts to assigned tasks.
