ELECTRICAL & CONTROLS ENGINEER

Responsibilities:

·       Create Programmable Logic Control (PLC) systems.

·       Develop HMI applications interfacing with both machine controls and SQL databases.

·       Study existing production equipment and make program improvements to improve the flow and process of the product.

·       Design electrical schematics required to build control panels and route on-machine wiring.

·       Analyze plant processes, design, and implement improvements.

·       Troubleshooting issues with hardware, processes, and plant equipment.

·       Design electrical circuits and review existing circuits for all product lines.

·       Prepare schematic wiring diagrams using the latest AutoCAD software.

·       Assist customers with troubleshooting.

·       Work with outside service technicians in the field or troubleshooting over the phone.

·       Occasional travel required as needed to customer sites. 

·       Other duties as assigned by management.

 

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation or Controls Engineering
• Experience creating PLC programs.
• Experience programming HMI applications
• A strong electrical and mechanical aptitude
•  Willing to travel to customer sites to assist with troubleshooting.
• Strong cause-effect analytical abilities to solve problems.
