Job description:

Senior Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented senior accountant to perform and
coordinate accounting projects within our firm. The senior accountant's
responsibilities include preparing financial statements, performing
account reconciliations, performing compilation and review engagements,
and performing other accounting duties as assigned. Must be able to
train and manage staff. Ability to prepare corporate and personal tax
returns is a plus but not required.

Individual must be detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to work
with minimal supervision. Strong communication skills, both written and
verbal required. Candidates should have a solid working knowledge of
Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and strong financial
analysis skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with
Excel, CCH ProSystem fx Engagement and QuickBooks. Bachelor's degree in
accounting with 3+ years of public accounting experience required.

Qualifications:

eal Candidate Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelors degree in accounting or related field; advanced degree a plus
• Active CPA certification or willingness to obtain
• Ability to review corporate and personal tax returns is a plus but not required
• Experience with M&A and business transitions a plus, but not required
• Minimum of 3+ years of professional experience, preferably in local public accounting firm
• Solid working knowledge of financial statement preparation and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• A growing client service skillset and the ability to develop strong client relationships
• Experience in identifying and addressing client needs, including: building and utilizing client networks, communicating value propositions, managing budgets, and preparing complex materials
• Experience and Proficiency with CCH ProSystem fx Engagement and QuickBooks
• Microsoft Office Suite with strong proficiency in Excel
