Senior Motor Design Engineer to join our Technology and Advanced Pursuits Team. Motor technology is a core Space and Defense Group technical and product capability. Expanding on our core markets, the trend to greater electrification is a focus of the company's innovation efforts.
 
 
IDEAL CANDIDATE
Previous Brushless DC Motor Design experience encompassing magnetics, mechanical packaging and manufacturing.  Experience in an Aerospace and/or Defense market preferred.
 
Day- to-Day Responsibilities:
Design responsibility for motors from clean sheet design on up to and including sustainment.
Develop and maintain Motor Technology Roadmaps. Develop and maintain Motor Platforms.
Interface to all Business Units and sites (global and domestic) for strategic aspects of motor technology.
 
Bachelor’s Degree (BS) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with 10 years of motor design experience; MS preferred (5 years of Aerospace and/or Defense market experience).
Experience with application-based Motor design software tools
Experience or familiarity with various motor topologies
Expertise with Electro-Magnetic Finite Element Analysis.
Previous Brushless DC Motor Design experience encompassing magnetics, mechanical packaging and manufacturing.
