Must have minimum of 3-8 years experience in the repair and maintenance of industrial washing, sterilization and/or surgical equipment required.
Completes the preventative maintenance (PM) workload for assigned equipment to achieve required PM compliance within pre-established time frames. Follows written preventative maintenance and quality assurance testing procedures for assigned medical equipment. Performs scheduled PMS on a scheduled basis.
· Ability to assume lead role in installations, acceptance testing and ongoing up-time management of new equipment; special projects; and in training other staff members on equipment operation and service.
· Assists in work actions performed by other external service providers. Completes and reviews service reports on services performed on assigned devices and systems.
· Identifies and obtains parts, supplies and other technical resource materials required to service, maintain, test and repair assigned equipment and determines the course of action needed to cost-effectively maximize equipment up-time.
- This position requires and is focused on specialized training on equipment such as sterilizer equipment, environmental health and safety.
- This position completes repairs, service work, and preventative maintenance on customer’s advanced and specialty biomedical patient care equipment and devices.
- Provides excellent customer service support.
- Performs service work and preventive maintenance of medical equipment and ensures completion of the percentage requested by customers.
- Repairs equipment as needed including: failure assessment, parts orders, delivery back to customers, and keeping customers informed of status.
- Resolves issues pertaining to the medical equipment and works with customers to ensure medical equipment and technology is working within specifications.
- Accurately documents and keeps detailed records of all work related activities.
- Performs scheduled inspections.
- Provides customer support of non-PM and non-repair issues such as following up on customer questions, attending meetings, and research issues.
- Provides all other support as requested by manager.
- Works and interacts with current and prospective clients, other employees, sales representatives, vendors, medical personnel, patients, guests, and visitors.
- Provides technical support for industrial washing, sterilization and surgical equipment through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, equipment modifications and installation support.
- Troubleshoot, repair, modify, and rebuild/refurbish industrial washing, sterilization and surgical equipment and system components.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance required on various types of equipment from multiple manufacturers.
- Utilize technology (laptop computer and related software) to perform administrative duties as assigned to ensure effective planning, utilization, and required paperwork completion in a timely fashion per company policies.
· QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
· Bachelor’s degree or Associate degree in electronics or biomedical engineering, or equivalent military training.
· Hands-on mechanical experience performing direct repair and maintenance.
· Specialized training by manufacturer or third-party equipment repair for Anesthesia machines, Sterilizers, ultrasound, ventilators, etc., is a plus and will be considered when determining compensation.
· The job entails a substantial amount of driving as it is a field service position. A satisfactory driving history and ability to drive is a requirement.

- Minimum 3-8 years of experience on specialized equipment such as anesthesia, and other life support medical equipment.
- Minimum of 3-8 years of hands on experience performing medical equipment repair and maintenance
- Has obtained applicable industry certification (i.e. CBET, CLES, CRES, Network, Pressure Vessel, etc.) - not required but helpful
- Broad experience with general medical devices, test equipment, and hand tools
- Broad experience operating electronic and specialized test equipment; troubleshooting equipment faults; and performing quality assurance testing on a variety of medical equipment
- Working knowledge of healthcare regulations pertaining to equipment, industry standards, codes and procedures regarding safety and HIPAA
- General mechanical and electrical knowledge
- Good organizational skills and ability to work with limited supervision.
- Ability to communicate effectively with various levels of employees as well as customers both verbally and in writing.
- Proficiency with computers to include MS Word, Excel, Outlook and ability to learn new software
- Ability to perform duties with a high level of judgment, discretion, and confidentiality
- Must have a valid driver’s license
Must have valid US drivers' license, clean driving record, and able to meet Company driving requirements Must pass criminal background and drug screening.
Must be able to work in the US without Visa sponsorship.
