Major established and brand name company with a good working culture located at their large site in the southwest suburbs of the Atlanta, GA metro has an opportunity for a Maintenance Unit Manager on the day shift that will be responsible for all aspects of Maintenance to the facility, machines and parts.  Will lead all aspects of department including delivery, quality and cost controls. Will supervise and support all departmental personnel in achievement of the production.  There are major company benefits, 2% profit sharing, attractive 15% bonus potential and relocation assistance that is available.



Job Responsibilities:

Manage capital and expense budgets for department and capital project implementation.

Create and manage all departmental improvement project schedules, integrating and coordinating all critical items.

Identify and manage all key process control parameters, ensuring daily, weekly and otherwise periodic maintenance of these controls. Establish and maintain the area 5S plan.

Actively communicate to all levels/organizations within the company.

Serve as the organization's focal point for all departmental and technical issues.

Schedule all work effectively to support the production schedule with special focus on efficiency.

Provide for all necessary employee training and cross training to ensure long term success and product quality.

Establish and publish periodic progress reports and reviews for senior management with emphasis on continuous improvement and root cause problem solving. Participate as active member on Plant Leadership Team.

Comply with all company rules, policies and ethical guidelines. Professionally represent the company at all times.

Implement and adhere to all ISO-9000 procedures and simplify.

Professionally resolve problems (both internal and external) in a fair and ethical manner while protecting long term interest of the company.



Education / Experience:

4-year degree in business or technical field or equivalent experience.

5 years previous management or supervisory experience within an operations or Maintenance assignment in a manufacturing environment.


Other Required Skills:

Proven leadership and interpersonal skills.

Highly computer literate with Microsoft Project and Office, as well as planning and productivity analysis software, Excellent communication, organizational, analytical and planning skills.
