Duties and Responsibilities

• Guide engineering team efforts to create and improve electro-mechanical, robotic, mechatronic automated canning equipment for use in beverage packaging industries.
• Create new designs for beverage automation including can filling/seaming systems, depalletizers, conveying systems, packaging systems, etc.
• Take design concepts and create detailed designs using Solidworks for 3-D models
• Work with an Engineering Change process to continue to improve existing designs
• Conform to existing design standards
• Improve the manufacturing environment by creating designs for jigs, fixtures, or other production assist elements
• Work with fabrication vendors and personnel to improve manufacturability of individual parts other production assist elements

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering
• 4+ experience using SolidWorks
• Advanced experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
• Experience with controls a plus
• Knowledge of materials and material requirements as they relate to products
• Familiarity with quality management systems
• High level of attention to detail
• Effective problem-solving ability
• Proven project and time management skills
• Effective problem-solving ability
• Leadership in a small team environment
• Ability to think and react in high energy, fast-paced environment
• Good organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines

• This position requires approximately 10+% of time spent on the production floor and 90% in a general office environment.

• Ability to effectively negotiate and problem solve with internal customers and external vendors.
• Must have the ability to multitask

• This position is located in a manufacturing facility which, requires prolonged sitting, standing, walking, squatting, twisting, bending, and lifting up to 30 lbs.
