Must have at least (7+) years of safety, health and environmental experience including a full understanding of DOT regulations, workers compensation and managing multi-site facilities. Bachelor degree required.
The position will manage the strategic EHS direction of the company’s program including federal and state DOT regulations and working with a unionized workforce (350 employees total). Day travel required to facilities in the Northern California region. The role with work closely with site operations personnel to continue building and elevating a solid safety and environmental system for the organization.
Key attributes include the ability to manage multiple sites, create strong working relationships with all levels and drive the EHS programs from both a strategic & tactical perspective. Long term plans include having this EHS Manager build their own EHS Department.
