Working for a leading global factory automation manufacturer, the Business Development Manager will identify, develop, build and maintain strong partnerships with HVAC OEMs having a strong product/solution sales focus on VFD’s and Systems.
This position will cover the Midwest/Central Region and offers a company vehicle and the flexibility to work from a home office preferably in Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota or Ohio close to a major airport to cover the assigned territory. 50% travel within North America. Other locations will be considered.
Position Duties and Responsibilities
Develop HVAC & Pump OEMs
Call on consulting engineering companies with the goal of becoming specified for HVAC & Pumping applications.
Become subject matter expert (SME) for HVAC & Pumping industry.

Education, Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering – Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, Manufacturing – or equivalent experience
8+ years’ experience in the defined market: Fan and Pump OEMs with in-depth knowledge of industry requirements and applications
5+ years of experience selling variable frequency drives to senior-level contacts at national, industry specific OEMs in the HVAC/R markets in the US.
Sales Management experience a plus
Sales experience with some or all of the following is a plus:
PLC’s, HMI’s, Industrial PC’s. Software, and interfaces
Building automation control and monitoring systems
