                                        Senior Accountant-Real Estate

The Senior Accountant will be a member of the Finance team and will be responsible for accounting and reporting oversight for a collection of direct real estate investments, as well as providing support for general fund level reporting functions.

Direct real estate investments include many different types of properties. He/she will be the finance and accounting contact for the investment team and will be expected to provide financial reporting insight on his/her real estate investments.

The Senior Associate will also provide information to other accounting professionals such has oversight of capital activity; review of monthly property accounting packages and review of quarterly fair value reporting packages. He/she will work closely with the Finance team on the monthly, quarterly and annual accounting period closes for the real estate properties and funds and will be heavily involved in the quarterly and annual fair value reporting cycles. This process requires in-depth analysis and understanding of the real estate investments.

Requirements:

                                                     QUALIFICATIONS

* Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. CPA designation is strongly preferred

* Three to five years of relevant accounting experience within the real estate industry (preferably some Big 4 public accounting experience and/or experience working at a real estate investment manager)

* Proficiency with real estate investment accounting/industry issues, with a firm understanding of real estate valuation, property operations, and financial reporting matters

* General understanding of the tax aspects of private real estate investments * Knowledge and demonstrated interest of financial markets and products

* Excellent communication skills (email and verbal) plus demonstrated confidence and ability to communicate with all levels of management

* Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet deadlines

* Must be extremely detail oriented and demonstrate a high degree of professionalism and self-motivation
