This person will support several operating chemical and gas plants primarily in the Los Angeles area and one in Canada and will have the flexibility to work from their home, Because of a number of recent plant acquisitions, this position is an addition to the existing Environmental group based in. Responsibilities are focused on air compliance/greenhouse gasses and secondarily on wastewater and solid waste regulations including permitting, maintaining waste profiles, waste disposal approvals, filing of reports to governing agencies, and ensuring that capital expansions are within regulations. Qualifications / Requirements:
- B.S. Engineering highly preferred
- 5+ years of environmental engineering experience with strength in CA air emissions such as TitleV and ideally experience with Coastal Air Quality District Management rules and some experience with water waste compliance
- Pluses would be: experience with defining and securing environmental permits for new and existing plants, experience with Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems (CEMS), previous experience training plant personnel, previous Environmental/Incident Management experience, CERS (SARA 311/312 or Tier II), SMARTS (Storm Water), TRI-ME Web/CDX (SARA 313), Cal-eGGRT/e-GGRT (CA/Federal GHG Reporting)
