Third shift - 6 pm – 6:30 am: Friday, Sat. Sundy. 36 hours
Performs chemical, histochemical, or morphological analysis on specimens using laboratory instrumentation and microscopes using GHS Lab approved policies and procedures. Ensures quality of results and determines validity of reportable results. Acts as a resource person for physicians in laboratory testing.
Sign on bonus of $5,000 with a 2 year prorated claw back clause.
Education: Baccalaureate Degree in Medical Technology or other Science, plus a minimum of 12 months in an accredited MT program required.
Experience: One year of experience in a hospital setting preferred.
License/certification: Certification as an MT, MLS or CLS by a nationally recognized agency (ASCP, AMT, AAB or HEW/CLT). If not certified at time of hire, certification must be obtained within one year

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently (activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) required to stand, sit, and walk; frequently to use hands, fingers; and frequently to talk or hear. The employee must exert 15 to 20 pounds of force occasionally (activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time), and/or 5 to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 5 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
