We are seeking an Electrical Engineer for a growing manufacturer that has aggressive growth plans to become the biggest manufacturer in their industry. This Electrical Engineer will be responsible for a wide range of engineering duties from planning, assembly, manufacturing, operation and maintenance of electrical components and control panels.
Responsibilities:Design, implement, maintain and improve electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, components and products.
Design complex electrical configurations (Power walls, Mechanical weather enclosures, and Electrical weather enclosures).
Resolve engineering change requests.
Specify electrical components for design, cost reductions, code compliance.
Complete electrical related projects (product line updates, electrical templates, training, etc)
Work directly with engineers in other disciplines to augment production size and value.
Construct and provide install maintenance, support, documentation, etc.
Develop electrical panel schedules.
Electrical load calculations & component selections.
Electrical wiring diagrams (controls and power distribution).
Selections for relay board input/output table (population sheet).
Sizing electrical devices, transformers, conductors, and performing electrical load calculations.
Size, select, and configure VFD's (Variable Frequency Drives). Data plate creation (Calculating MCA & MOPD).
Manufacturing work order instructions (compressor & accessory instructions, plus special instructions as required).
Understand and implement national electrical code requirements and UL-508A panel design requirements.
Create Bills of Materials.
Communicate and work with with sales, technical support, contractors, manufacturing, testing, quality and field personnel. Investigate and document field service reports.
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent required
2+ years experience as an electrical engineer in appliances, air conditioning, refrigeration, hvac or comparable products.
Knowledge and experience with CAD software.
Knowledge and experience with electrical circuits, national electrical code.
Knowledge and understanding of PLC programming.
Knowledge of electrical control back up mechanical controls.
Knowledge and experience with SAP is preferred but not required.
Knowledge and experience with vendor selection software is preferred but not required.
