The Director of Case Management is responsible for the development, implementation, and direction of the functions of Case Management in accordance with the policies of the hospital and the directives of the Administration and Medical Staff.
The Director is also responsible for the administration and management of departmental resources for the maximum benefit of the hospital.
This includes management of personnel, policies, program development and implementation, data collection, analysis and presentation, and working closely with physicians, administration, and all hospital departments.
Assists Administration as a resource in improving care, service, and efficiency of the organization and in the education of hospital and physician staff members to achieve these goals.
Some Responsibilities Include:
Maintain accurate, detailed reports for Resource Management, Skilled Bed and Avoidable days.
Conducts Ethics Committee twice a year for Education.
Directs and supervises Case managers, Pre-cert Coordinator and Social Worker.
Monitors Department Operations and maintains monthly department operations and expense report.
Applies appropriate Criteria for chart review to determine medical necessity.
Participates UM/Records committee.
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing(BSN), Registered nurse is required.
Might consider an Associates in Nursing(ADN) if they have a Bachelors in Healthcare.
Certification in Case Management or Utilization Review is preferred.
3 years of Case Management supervisor/director experience required including policy development, budgeting, and PI activities.
Experience in Resource Management a plus.
Position reports to the CFO and will work with HIM, Physicians and many other healthcare professionals in the facility.
Overall facility is over 100 beds between Acute and Behavioral Health.
Work with an experienced staff of 6(4 RN's, 1 Case Manager and 1 LPN).
salary depends on experience but the range goes is from 95K-110K. Great benefit package that includes relocation reimbursement up to 10k and sign-on of 5K.
