Major International company at a large and state-of- the-art and high volume newer plant that is commute distance to the northwest of the north suburbs of Atlanta has an opportunity for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer offering professional growth. In this world class facility the selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment and systems are designed, installed as well as maintained in such a way that will promote a high degree of reliability in meeting or exceeding the process requirements. Will interact with vendors to determine equipment specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials or parts and will evaluate equipment according to quality standards and specifications. Systems will be designed such as controls, instruments, robots, machines, engines as well as mechanical, hydraulic, thermal or heat transfer systems. Will direct and coordinate fabrication and install activities to ensure systems and equipment conform to engineering design and specifications. Will design products and systems to interface machines, software and hardware. Also will apply statistical methods to estimate equipment capability to meet manufacturing requirements for the future. Will be involved with installations, retrofits, PMs, troubleshooting, PLC programming, servo and VFD maintenance, much of it on a daily basis.
- BSME or BSMET degree
- At least 3 ½ years of mechanical engineering related experience related to the description above in a manufacturing setting
- Need experience with equipment maintenance, instrumentation, CAD, PLC programming
- Must be hands-on oriented
- Capital project experience is desired
- Must be willing to be on call to come in some nights
