About the Role Our client is seeking a Senior Design Engineering Manager to lead their Design Engineering team in developing, validating, and optimizing elastomeric components and precision mechanical systems for aerospace, defense, and industrial applications. You will drive engineering strategy, foster technical excellence, and ensure cross-functional alignment with manufacturing and business goals.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop the Design Engineering team; establish priorities and resource allocation plans.
Technical Oversight: Review and approve engineering deliverables (CAD models, drawings, GD&T, specs, and test reports).
Compliance & Standards: Ensure all design activities comply with AS9100, ISO 9001, FAA, MIL-SPEC, and configuration controls.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain to resolve complex technical issues and support production readiness.
