The Supplier Quality Manager is responsible for establishing and leading the organization's supplier quality function. This role will develop supplier performance systems, improve incoming quality, implement supplier accountability programs, and create a supplier recovery process to reduce supplier-generated quality costs.
Key Responsibilities Establish supplier quality policies, procedures, and systems.
Develop supplier scorecards and performance metrics.
Lead supplier audit and supplier development programs.
Manage Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs).
Establish supplier recovery processes and cost recovery initiatives.
Conduct supplier risk assessments and qualification activities.
Partner with Supply Chain and Procurement on supplier performance improvement.
Analyze supplier quality trends and drive corrective actions.
Improve incoming quality performance and supplier accountability.

The Supplier Quality Manager will report to the V.P. of Quality and develop the companies supplier quality program. They will lead supplier audits and help the suppliers develop/improve their quality processes. Will travel up to 50% and focus on the top 20% of suppliers needing the most help. For some products they have a single source supplier. Some suppliers are mom and pop shops to big suppliers like Pratt & Whitney.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field.
7+ years supplier quality experience.
Aerospace manufacturing experience preferred.
Knowledge of ISO9001 / AS9100 and supplier management practices.
Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
Great company with a strong growth trajectory. They have a 4 plant campus and are planning for expansion as they continue to grow. There are two 2-week shut downs, one in July and one in December. Annual bonus at 40% which pays out quarterly.
