Our TorontoJobs.ca Recruiting division client, located in Vaughan, is a small public accounting firm that has built a strong reputation for providing personalized accounting, tax, and advisory services to owner-managed businesses and individuals. Due to continued growth and long-term succession planning, they are seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team.

ResponsibilitiesPrepare compilation engagement financial statements
Assist with review engagements (experience is considered an asset)
Prepare corporate, personal, trust, and partnership income tax returns
Work directly with a portfolio of owner-managed business clients
Communicate with clients to obtain information and respond to accounting and tax-related inquiries
Prepare year-end working papers and supporting documentation
Ensure client engagements are completed accurately and on schedule
Collaborate with the firm's partners and accounting team on a variety of client engagements
SoftwareExperience with the following software is preferred:
CaseWare
CaseView
Taxprep
QuickBooks Online (experience is considered an asset, as many clients use this platform)

CPA designation preferred
Several years of experience working in a Canadian public accounting firm
Strong experience preparing compilation engagement financial statements and corporate income tax returns
Experience preparing personal tax returns
Experience with trust and partnership tax returns is considered an asset
Experience with review engagements is considered an asset
Strong knowledge of Canadian accounting and tax principles
Excellent communication, organizational, and client service skills
Ability to manage multiple client files while meeting deadlines
