Job description:

Sr Mgr Continuous Improvement for a $500M aerospace manufacturing division of $10B berkshire hathaway company.

Newly created role reporting directly to the Division VP with responsibility for driving operational excellence across 8 manufacturing sites nationwide. Experience in casting, forging, melting, forming, or metals/heavy industrial desired.

> Lead a CI transformation across a profitable $500M Division, moving from a reactive firefighting approach to a disciplined culture of root-cause problem solving, accountability, and continuous improvement
> Build and standardize daily management systems, tiered accountability meetings, visual management, and Kaizen execution across four key melt plants before scaling to all eight sites
> Partner directly with site General Managers to develop Lean leadership, high impact role

Remote position with significant travel during the first year as improvements are deployed across the network (50-75%, as needed, less in the future when established).

Qualifications:

BS required, likely will have advanced degree

Heavy industrial required; ideally metal melting, forming, casting, or similar metal knowledge not required but must have heavy industrial setting (no clean room folks, retail, distribution, light mfg)

Multi-site lean/CI leadership nice to have - not required

Pedigree experience desired (Howmet, Parker Hannifin, Toyota, GE, ITW, Honeywell, Danaher, Alcoa

Able to travel 50-75% across facilities
