Description

Our client’s Shelton, Connecticut office is currently looking for a licensed professional Mechanical Engineer who performs investigations from vehicle accident reconstruction, water loss cause of origin, workplace safety, product liability and beyond in a friendly cultured environment.

The individual who fills the position is eligible for a quarterly Engineering Incentive plan and an annual discretionary bonus based on the company and the individual’s performance.

The Mechanical Engineer will provide comprehensive disciplined engineering experience and perform in-depth forensic investigations such as vehicle accidents. The ideal candidate must be willing to occasionally travel on a day or overnight basis to investigate accidents. The engineer applies their engineering principles and helps their clients successfully resolve a loss or any litigation requirements. This position is well suited for an individual who is motivated and a self-starter who likes working independently and not at a desk and on occasion also enjoys working outdoors.

Required Qualifications

·         B.S. and or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering.

·         3 to 5 years of Mechanical Engineering experience.

·         Professional Engineering (P.E) license.

·         Advanced educational degrees such as a master’s or Ph.D. are a plus.

·         You must be willing to travel on a day or overnight basis to conduct investigations.

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·         Demonstrates the ability to efficiently complete detailed work.

·         Exhibits effective time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and deliver timely work based on client needs.

·         Collaborative and friendly with the ability to work independently.

·         Vehicular accident reconstruction (ACTAR certification is a plus)

·         Fire investigation experience and/or certification is a plus.

·         Incident investigation is a plus.

·         Expert witness experience is a big plus.
