What Youll Do

  • Lead and manage land surveying projects including boundary, ALTA/NSPS, topographic, utility, and construction stakeout surveys.
  • Oversee field crews, provide technical guidance, and ensure quality control and accuracy throughout project execution.
  • Perform research, prepare legal descriptions, and review plats, deeds, and easement documents.
  • Manage survey-related project timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering departments (Civil/Site, Structural, Traffic, GIS, and Water/Wastewater) to support integrated project development.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal surveying regulations and standards.
  • Interface with municipal and private clients, providing responsive communication and trusted expertise.
  • Support and mentor junior staff in their technical and professional development.

Qualifications:

What You Bring

  • Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in Pennsylvania (or ability to obtain quickly).
  • 5+ years of experience in land surveying, with proven leadership in both field and office settings.
  • Strong working knowledge of boundary and topographic surveying, legal principles, and construction layout.
  • Proficiency with GPS, total stations, data collectors, and CAD-based survey software (e.g., Civil 3D).
  • Familiarity with local zoning, subdivision, and land development ordinances.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience managing survey crews, schedules, and project documentation.
