Maintenance Manager

Our manufacturing client near Newton, IA is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Manager to lead plant maintenance and electrical functions in a high-production environment.

This is a leadership role responsible for maximizing equipment uptime, driving preventative maintenance strategy, and maintaining plant availability above 90%. The ideal candidate will balance technical expertise with team development and safety leadership.

What You’ll Be Responsible For:

• Leading all mechanical and electrical maintenance operations

• Driving preventative and corrective maintenance strategy

• Managing capital projects, budgeting, parts inventory, and purchasing

• Ensuring MSHA and safety compliance across maintenance functions

• Developing and empowering maintenance team members

• Utilizing KPIs to improve reliability and operational performance

• Maintaining plant uptime and operational efficiency

What We’re Looking For:

• 5+ years of manufacturing maintenance leadership experience

• Strong troubleshooting ability (mechanical and electrical systems)

• Experience reading schematics and isolating equipment issues

• Knowledge of shop mechanics and industrial equipment operations

• Ability to lead through accountability, communication, and culture-building

• Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience)

Environment:

• Manufacturing facility operating 3 shifts

• May require coverage outside normal hours

• Industrial setting with typical plant conditions
