Quality Engineer
The Quality Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring products meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and compliance. This position bridges inspection and engineering by applying structured problem-solving, data analysis, and quality engineering principles to drive continuous improvement across manufacturing, suppliers, and customer deliverables.
This role partners closely with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to proactively identify risks, resolve issues using 8D methodology, and ensure compliance with ISO/AS quality standards and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the Quality & Compliance Manager in maintaining and improving ISO / AS quality systems, standards, and procedures
- Analyze inspection and test data to identify trends, risks, and systemic quality issues
- Lead cross-functional 8D investigations for internal, supplier, and customer nonconformances
- Develop and maintain:
- Inspection and test plans
- Control plans
- Acceptance criteria and quality documentation
- Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing to ensure quality is designed into products and processes
- Conduct internal audits and support external, customer, and regulatory audits
- Evaluate supplier quality performance and support:
- Supplier corrective actions (8D)
- Supplier audits and continuous improvement efforts
- Train inspectors, technicians, and operators on quality requirements, procedures, and best practices
- Support RMA investigations, failure analysis, and corrective/preventive actions
- Track, analyze, and present quality metrics and KPIs to leadership
- Participate in and support continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, process optimization)
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree (AA/AS) in Engineering, Quality, Electronics, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing quality, inspection, or related role
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Quality Engineering
- 2+ years of experience in a Quality Engineering role within a manufacturing environment
- Certifications such as:
- Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher) - specifically Design Six Sigma
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
- IPC standards or equivalent quality certifications
