Job description:

Develop CNC programs for Milling and/or Turning machines as required working from blueprints, sketches and models. Must understand the setup and general operation of a wide variety of machine tools, select proper cutting tools for the application and work closely with machine operators for program prove out and optimization.

  • Use CAM (Computer Aided Manufacturing) software to calculate and create programs
  • Review post processed program for accuracy and proper code generation for the specific machine tool
  • Work with Engineering, operators and Plant Supervision to trouble shoot and resolve design, equipment and operating difficulties
  • Work independently and/or with engineering as required to design and develop or identify adequate work holding devices
  • Review process plan and identify problems or areas of concern with process engineer and work to resolve the issue and establish an efficient process


    • Qualifications:

    Education: Technical Degree in Engineering or equivalent discipline or 5 years min experience

    Experience: 5 years minimum experience programming using MasterCam or NX based CAM software

    Skills: Proficient in the use and application of cutting tools; Geometric Dimensioning and tolerancing; use of precision hand measuring tools; Microsoft Office
