Job description:
- Lead process flow, fixture, and tooling design to improve efficiency and product quality
- Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC and controls systems to support automation
- Drive planning efforts, capital projects, and strategic manufacturing initiatives
- Create, modify, and manage CAD models and technical documentation
- Manage engineering change processes (ECNs/ECRs) and apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles
- Lead and support continuous improvement, Lean initiatives, and CI projects
- Evaluate and implement new technologies, equipment, and manufacturing tools
- Provide hands-on engineering support to resolve complex production issues
- Mentor junior engineers and peers, sharing technical expertise and best practices
- Own deliverables, communicate progress clearly, and demonstrate ongoing professional growth
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related technical field
Technical Skills
- Strong manufacturing data analysis skills; able to interpret production trends, metrics, and variances to support process improvement
- Advanced proficiency in PLC design, programming, and troubleshooting for automated manufacturing systems
- Expert-level experience with CAD software, particularly SolidWorks, including complex 3D models, assemblies, and drawings
- Proven ability to lead complex engineering projects from planning through execution with minimal oversight
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams, managing timelines, and aligning projects with business objectives
Communication & Leadership
- Clear, confident communicator across all levels of an organization
- Able to adapt messaging to technical and non-technical audiences
- Provides constructive feedback and facilitates productive collaboration
