We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant or Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C) to join our growing Pulmonary Medicine private practice. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with our board-certified Pulmonologists and multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with a wide range of respiratory conditions. This role involves both outpatient, with a focus on accurate diagnosis, comprehensive treatment, and ongoing education for patients with chronic lung disease.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations.

Diagnose and manage acute and chronic pulmonary conditions such as asthma, COPD, sleep apnea, interstitial lung disease, and pulmonary hypertension.

Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests such as chest imaging, pulmonary function tests, arterial blood gases, and sleep studies.

Develop individualized treatment plans and collaborate with physicians to optimize patient outcomes.

Provide patient education on disease management, medication adherence, lifestyle modification, and smoking cessation.

Manage follow-up visits and long-term care for chronic respiratory conditions.

Perform or assist with in-office procedures (e.g., spirometry, oxygen qualification testing, bronchodilator assessments).

Document all encounters accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record (EHR).

Communicate effectively with referring physicians, specialists, and care teams to ensure continuity of care.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain current clinical knowledge through continuing education.
Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) program.
- Experience with Pulmonology and/or Critical Care

Current and unrestricted license to practice as an NP or PA in the State of Florida

Current certification by AANP/ANCC (for NP) or NCCPA (for PA-C).

DEA license (or eligibility to obtain).

Prior experience in pulmonary, critical care, internal medicine, or related specialty preferred (new graduates with a strong interest in pulmonary medicine encouraged to apply).
