Our client, an international AmLaw 100 law firm, is seeking a skilled Associate Attorney to join its Labor & Employment Practice in Los Angeles. This is an exciting opportunity for a mid-level associate to handle complex employment litigation and counseling matters while working alongside a highly regarded team of practitioners in a dynamic and collegial environment.
Candidate Profile
- JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record
- Active Bar Admission in California, in good standing

4–6 years of substantive labor and employment law experience, preferably in a large law firm setting
- JD Class of 2019-2021
- Extensive deposition experience and experience arguing motions in court
- Experience drafting litigation-related documents and handling discovery
- Ability to communicate and negotiate with opposing counsel efficiently and professionally
- Highly proficient in running cases independently
- Trial experience and class action/PAGA experience strongly preferred
- Strong analytical, research, and legal writing skills, along with demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, and a client-service mindset
Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in labor and employment litigation, including class action and PAGA matters
- Take and defend depositions and engage in motion practice
- Draft discovery and other litigation-related documents, including memoranda, briefs, motions, and pleadings
- Participate in trials and contribute to trial preparation
- Communicate and negotiate directly with opposing counsel
- Independently progress employment law cases from inception through resolution
- Collaborate with colleagues across practice groups to deliver comprehensive, client-focused legal solutions
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and responsiveness

Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive Salary: Annual base salary is expected to range from $310,000 – $390,000, depending on experience, qualifications, and market factors
