Role Overview:
The Market Director of People Services provides leadership and oversight for human resources operations across multiple sites within a region or market. The role is responsible for developing and executing HR strategies, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations, managing workforce planning, and fostering a professional and supportive employee environment. This position leads HR initiatives that align with organizational objectives and promotes employee engagement, development, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with organizational, legal, and ethical requirements.

Direct and evaluate HR operations, including employee relations, performance management, staffing, training, and compliance.

Plan and monitor staffing activities, including hiring, onboarding, evaluations, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.

Manage departmental budgets and ensure operations align with funding and organizational guidelines.

Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to policies, regulations, and compliance standards.

Foster a culture of professional growth, engagement, and continuous improvement.

Ensure HR activities support organizational objectives and overall operational success.

Maintain reliable attendance and perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Manage HR staff including planning, assigning, reviewing, and scheduling work to ensure quality standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

Prior experience in a Human Resources director or senior leadership role.

Minimum 4 years of professional HR experience in a healthcare or hospital/acute-care setting.

Demonstrated experience in employee relations.

Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience acceptable.
