Job Type: Full Time. Monday - Friday. Day shift.
Our client, a school dedicated to supporting children with disabilities, is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for their Bronx, NY location.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assessment & Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive evaluations using standardized tests and observations to identify and assess speech and language difficulties.
- Intervention Planning: Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) with specific goals, therapy strategies, and measurable outcomes tailored to each student.
- Therapy Delivery: Provide individual or group therapy using techniques like articulation drills, language stimulation, and play-based interventions.
- Collaboration & Consultation: Work with teachers, parents, and professionals to support student communication needs and overall development.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain progress records, write reports for IEP meetings, and communicate findings.

Qualifications:
Job Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current New York licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- Strong understanding of child development and typical speech and language milestones
- Pediatric experience preferred, but not required.
