QA Lead Coordinator

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced QA Lead Coordinator to drive quality assurance and compliance initiatives in a multi-unit chemical manufacturing environment. This pivotal role involves overseeing the Quality Management System (QMS) and Food Safety Management System (FSMS), ensuring adherence to international standards and certifications, and fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the QMS and FSMS implementation and governance across production units.
  • Maintain and expand certifications including ISO 9001, RC14001, FSSC22000, and others.
  • Promote and enforce compliance with GMP, GDP, and food safety standards.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Conduct internal and external audits, and manage findings to closure.
  • Author and maintain standard operating procedures and validation protocols.
  • Chair and lead Food Safety and Product Safety Committees.
  • Implement and train personnel on risk analysis tools such as FMEA and HACCP.
  • Coordinate and lead recall and non-conformance response teams.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and ensure compliance with FDA and other standards.
  • Qualify and audit suppliers, ensuring adherence to QMS requirements.
  • Manage and maintain Quality Agreements and customer quality documentation.
  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective action/preventive action (CAPA) implementation.
  • Conduct QA training sessions for staff and cross-functional teams.
  • Facilitate Management Reviews and report quality issues to leadership.
  • Lead change management and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with teams in manufacturing, R&D, supply chain, and IT.
  • Support special projects, including 5S implementation and process mapping.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, preferably in chemical manufacturing.
  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification is required.
  • Experience as a Lead Auditor for GMP/GDP/GFSI Certifications (e.g., BRCGS, FSSC22000) is required.
  • Advanced certifications such as ASQ Lead Auditor or Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt) are preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of ISO standards and industry-specific regulations.
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in SAP, SharePoint, PowerBI, and Microsoft Office.
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to engage at all organizational levels.
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a keen eye for detail.
