The Senior Controls Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and testing of electrical control systems and equipment.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Design and implement PLC-based control systems for car wash equipment, including HMI development.
• Collaborate with the Electrical and Controls team to incorporate customers' feedback and suggest design enhancements.
• Develop and maintain electrical schematics using SolidWorks Electrical.
• Support the production team with troubleshooting and customization of UL508A-certified control panels.
• Assist maintenance teams with root-cause analysis and corrective actions to reduce equipment downtime.
• Participate in the development and refinement of control strategies for new and existing products.
• Generate cost estimates and contribute to project planning efforts.
• Ensure compliance with relevant electrical codes, safety standards, and internal quality guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Controls engineering.
• 10+ years experience in controls engineering or electrical design.
• Proficient with SolidWorks Electrical.
• Hands-on experience with UL508A panel design and compliance.
• Expertise in both digital and analog circuit design.
• Strong knowledge of industrial control suppliers, components, and design practices.
• Skilled in troubleshooting using tools like digital multimeters and oscilloscopes.
• Experience in manufacturing improvement initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Beckhoff IPCs.
• Knowledge of SCADA systems.
• Working knowledge of industrial communication protocols and networking.
