Salary: $110,000–$140,000 + PAID Relocation
You’ll help build out a new on-site meat science lab, work closely with cross-functional teams, and support commercialization from concept to launch.
Responsibilities:
- Lead meat and protein product development (animal and plant-based)
- Design and run experiments to support commercial strategy
- Evaluate sensory, physical, and analytical properties of products
- Stay up to date with industry trends and new technologies
- Collaborate across teams (Marketing, Sales, Quality, etc.)
- Present solutions to customers and support sales with technical expertise
- Help set up and maintain the new meat science lab
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's (10+ years) or Master’s (5+ years) in Food Science or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on meat product development
- Experience with meat sticks, cold cuts, nuggets, and breaded items preferred
- Strong knowledge of ingredients, manufacturing processes, and sensory evaluation
- Skilled in problem-solving, data analysis, and communication
- Team player who can manage multiple projects
- Lab, pilot, and occasional manufacturing floor work
- May require lifting, working in varied temperatures, and some travel
