Company Overview:
A leading North American manufacturer in its niche is seeking a Manager, Electrical Engineering to join its Charleston, SC facility. This position plays a key leadership role in driving safety, quality, and operational excellence by developing talent, enhancing reliability, and optimizing engineering processes.
Key Responsibilities:

Promote and maintain a plant culture that prioritizes workplace safety and environmental compliance (OSHA).

Lead, mentor, and develop Electrical Automation Technicians with a focus on Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), reliability engineering, and technical troubleshooting.

Collaborate with the Electrical Planner/Scheduler to:

Develop and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance (PM/PdM) schedules.

Ensure maintenance activities are performed on schedule.

Plan electrical support for planned plant outages.
-

Manage departmental budgets and control costs within established parameters.
-
Ensure compliance with corporate engineering standards and industry best practices.

Act as primary liaison with OEMs and third-party engineering partners.

Provide technical leadership in the development of Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), Standard Work Instructions (SWIs), and critical spare part identification for new equipment.

Oversee AutoCAD and electrical documentation accuracy.

Drive project execution using project management methodologies and TPM principles.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field.

Minimum 8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in engineering or maintenance.

Proven experience with:
-
Siemens and Rockwell PLC platforms.
-
HMI/SCADA systems, including Wonderware or similar.

SQL programming and data analysis systems.

AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical (or equivalent).

Experience with greenfield projects is a strong plus.

Knowledge of TPM principles and project management methodologies.

Strong organizational, leadership, and time management skills.

Demonstrated commitment to safety culture, continuous improvement, and team development.
