OCI Architect
Responsibilities include:
- Plan, Configure and Deploy a cloud solution
- Monitor and manage SLAs by proactively monitoring Oracle Cloud systems
- Create a well-informed cloud strategy and manage the adaption process.
- Regularly evaluate cloud applications, hardware, and software.
- Develop and organize cloud systems.
- Work closely with IT security to monitor the company's cloud privacy.
- Respond to technical issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Offer guidance in infrastructure movement techniques including bulk application transfers into the cloud.
- Identify the top cloud architecture solutions to successfully meet the strategic needs of the company.
- Understanding Customer’s business requirements and leading technical solution development using Oracle’s cloud capabilities
- Participate in Proof of Concepts workshops for new solutions on Oracle Cloud
- Develop collaborative working relationships with sales, product management, development and other functional areas within Oracle, continuously contributing towards Product enhancements and increasing Cloud consumption
- Execute on engagement including coordinating scoping and delivery in a timeline for delivery engagements
- Build and nurture relationships with Customers to drive various enablement and implementation activities on OCI

Patch environments, troubleshoot and administration as well as Architecture
Preferred qualifications include:
- Primary focus on developing customer solutions using Oracle's offerings: Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Autonomous Database, Oracle Fusion Middleware and Autonomous Data warehouse (ADW)
- Experience in security (Authentication and Authorization – Object level and Data level security) as well as tuning and multiple source systems
- Knowledge of Database, Cloud Concepts, Autonomous Data warehouse (ADW), Data Integration (ODI/Golden Gate) is an added advantage
- ExaData experience
The day-to-day tasks include the following:
1. Tenant and Compartment Management Understand how to organize resources using compartments and manage tenancy settings.
2. Identity and Access Management (IAM) Configure users, groups, policies, and roles to control access securely.
3. Networking Setup Design and manage Virtual Cloud Networks (VCNs), subnets, gateways, and routing.
4. Compute Resource Management Launch, configure, and manage compute instances and autoscaling setups.
5. Storage Configuration Work with block volumes, object storage, and file storage systems.
6. Database Services Deploy and manage Oracle Databases and other database offerings.
7. Monitoring and Logging Set up metrics, alarms, and logging to monitor resource health and performance.
8. Security Best Practices Implement security zones, encryption, and vulnerability scanning.
9. Backup and Disaster Recovery Configure backups, snapshots, and replication for high availability.
10. Cost Management and Budgeting Track usage, set budgets, and optimize resource consumption to control costs
