We are seeking a highly skilled EPC Substation Estimator to join our dynamic team in Houston, TX. In this role, you'll play a vital part in the planning and execution of medium to high-voltage substation and transmission projects, helping us deliver high-quality, safe, and cost-effective solutions to our utility and energy clients.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and interpret electric construction drawings and technical specifications.

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for EPC (Engineer, Procure, Construct) projects in the utility and infrastructure sector.

  • Evaluate civil, electrical, and structural aspects of substation and transmission line construction.

  • Develop and manage project estimates from conceptual to final design.

  • Collaborate closely with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to assess scope and pricing accuracy.

  • Stay informed on industry standards, market trends, and pricing strategies.

  • Handle multiple project estimates simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and accuracy are met.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in medium and high-voltage electrical substation and transmission construction, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Strong ability to read and interpret electrical and civil construction plans and documentation.

  • Proven track record in estimating EPC projects or related utility-scale electrical construction.


Preferred Experience:

  • Hands-on field or estimating experience with:

    • Electrical and civil substation construction

    • Transmission and distribution line projects

  • Familiarity with estimating software and tools.

  • Solid understanding of utility industry practices and safety standards.
