Heavy Civil Superintendent -Large Projects
Responsibilities:
- Oversee construction projects to ensure compliance with design, budget, and schedule.
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise on-site functions, including scheduling and subcontractor coordination.
- Ensure crafts and subcontractors adhere to contract documents, optimize material and equipment use, and meet project timelines.
- Provide technical support, such as interpreting drawings and recommending construction methods and equipment.
- Assist in developing project schedules, site logistics plans, and implementing project procedures and standards.
- Support the Site-Specific Safety Plan.
- Coordinate with on-site Owner representatives.
- Perform additional tasks as directed by the supervisor.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred, plus 20 years of supervisory experience on large heavy civil infrastructure projects valued at $200M+.
- Minimum 10 years as a construction superintendent or craft supervisor, with experience in new building/structure construction, including piles, concrete, and structural steel.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. construction methods, techniques, and standards.
- Experience with City, State, or Federal Government clients is preferred.
- Familiarity with contract management and local trade/union/craft practices.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Procore, Bluebeam, and HCSS HeavyBid.
- OSHA certification and First Aid certification required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
