Position Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Tax Director with significant high-net-worth tax experience to lead the firm’s accounting and tax operations. This individual will play a strategic role in supporting family members, trusts, partnerships, and the firm’s charitable foundation. The Tax Director will also oversee internal financial reporting, manage relationships with external accounting and legal professionals, and supervise internal accounting staff. This is a hands-on, detail-oriented position requiring strong tax and financial acumen along with excellent interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- CPA required
- 10+ years of relevant accounting experience, with a strong focus on high-net-worth tax
- Experience with high-net-worth clients, trusts, estates, partnerships, and charitable entities
- Supervisory experience with the ability to lead and mentor accounting/tax staff
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and relevant accounting/tax platforms
- Trust and estate experience highly preferred
- Enthusiastic, hands-on professional committed to financial stewardship
