Are you an experienced nursing professional ready to step into a pivotal leadership role? We're looking for a dynamic individual to provide essential support and leadership to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), overseeing nursing and other designated patient care functions within a hospital setting. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on patient care and staff development.
What You'll Do:
- Provide leadership and support to the CNO, assisting with the assessment, planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of nursing practice across multiple units.
- Assume 24/7 responsibility for your assigned areas, ensuring continuous high-quality and safe patient care.
- Ensure competency of clinical staff and appropriate resource management related to patient care.
- Serve as a role model and advocate for the professional discipline of nursing.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
What We're Looking For:
- Active and current Registered Nurse (RN) license in your state of residence/practice.
- Associate degree from an accredited nursing school with a bachelor's degree in a health care-related field or a BSN. (MSN or master’s in a health care-related field is preferred).
- 2 years of progressive management experience in a hospital environment as a manager or full-time charge nurse/related position.
- Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy.
- AHA BLS certification.
- Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven leadership ability and strong understanding of hospital operations.
- At least 2 years experience specifically in NICU
