Job Description
Our client is seeking a bright and driven Associate Attorney to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent law school graduate or an attorney with up to 2 years of experience. Workers’ compensation experience is not required, but candidates must have a genuine interest in this area of law. The ideal candidate will be confident, a self-starter, and eager to learn and grow within the practice. Key responsibilities include:
- Representing injured workers in workers’ compensation claims
- Managing a caseload with a focus on settlements and litigation
- Drafting motions, petitions, and discovery
- Attending hearings and depositions before the WCAB
- Collaborating with medical and vocational experts
- Communicating effectively with clients and keeping them informed
Qualifications
- JD from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice in California
- 0–2 years of legal experience preferred
- Strong academic record (transcripts required if no workers' comp experience)
- Interest in pursuing a career in workers' compensation law
- Workers' comp legal assistant experience is a plus
- Confident, self-directed, and eager to learn
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
