Job Title: MES Engineer
Overview:
We are seeking an MES Engineer to lead the implementation, optimization, and ongoing support of our Manufacturing Execution System. This individual will serve as the strategic link between plant operations, IT development, and executive leadership to drive digital transformation and manufacturing efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on MES experience, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:

Act as the MES subject matter expert, providing strategic guidance and technical support across the organization.

Partner with plant teams to gather system requirements, identify pain points, and implement practical solutions.

Develop and deliver training programs and materials to ensure proper system usage and adoption across all levels.

Lead the deployment of new MES functionalities, coordinating closely with corporate stakeholders and plant personnel to ensure smooth implementation.

Evaluate user feedback and align enhancement requests with overall business objectives and MES roadmap.

Stay current with MES system updates and communicate relevant changes and capabilities to end-users.

Collaborate with technical teams to test and validate system changes, ensuring robust and reliable performance.

Advise operations leadership on how to leverage MES capabilities to improve process visibility, efficiency, and productivity.

Mentor manufacturing leaders on integrating MES technologies into day-to-day operations to support long-term development and innovation.

Travel to manufacturing sites (15–20%) to support training, implementation, and system evaluation.
Qualifications:

Strong working knowledge and hands-on experience with MES platforms; familiarity with Ignition by Inductive Automation is preferred.

Experience with ISA88 batch processing, OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), SPC (Statistical Process Control), databases, and reporting tools is a plus.

Proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence change at all levels of an organization.

Excellent communication, training, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Prior experience with MES systems from vendors such as Aveva, Rockwell, or other SCADA platforms is highly desirable.
Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Manufacturing, or a related discipline—or equivalent industry experience.

Minimum of 2 years in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on operations, engineering, maintenance, or continuous improvement.

Project management experience is a strong advantage.
