Job description:

Our client is a Tier I and II supplier to the automotive industry and currently has a position of Plant Controller available at their plant located about an hour West of Chattanooga, TN. The successful candidate will have experience working as Plant Controller, Financial Controller, Accounting Manager or similar within a manufacturing environment previously. This position will involve working at the manufacturing plants as well as having the opportunity to work hybrid perhaps 20% to 40% of the time. Occasional travel between two southeastern plants may be required, but not frequent. Initially seeking local candidates within 30 miles of Winchester, TN.

Qualifications:

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Responsible for all financial aspects of the accounting system
• Responsible for transactions of supporting subsystems to the general ledger
• Prepares monthly production manufacturing and tooling financial reports
• Works closing with Operations Manager to insure Financial and Quality KPIs are on target
• Prepares internal reporting as required by management
• Ensures internal controls are in place and followed for financial reporting purposes
• Responsible for account reconciliations and adequate support
• Responsible for the general ledger account analysis as directed by the CFO
• Leads annual budget and monthly forecast development
• Participates in tax compliance and reporting
• Prepares schedules to support review by CPA firm
• Establishes burden rates for various departments or processes
• Reviews all accounts receivable, payable and payroll accounts
• Captures and tracks delinquent purchase orders
• Reviews accounts receivable and payable agings and works toward balance reduction
• Any additional duties as assigned by supervision

Qualified applicants must have a 4-year Accounting degree and a minimum of five years Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
