Environmental, Health & Safety and Security Manager
Oversee all Safety, Security & Environmental functions. Identify issues and recommend corrective actions and ensure resolution. Ensure employees are aware of and using the appropriate personal protective equipment. Prepare, monitor and distribute an Open Safety / Environmental Items Log.
•Administer the company’s procedures related to safety, health and environmental compliance
•Prepare safety and environmental presentation materials for related meetings.
•Conduct training related to safety and environmental.
•Assist supervisors with investigation of incidents and completion of investigation reports and problem-solving activities. Continual identification of patterns of incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent / reduce opportunity for recurrence.
•Provide supervisors with information that will aid in reducing accidents and improve safety in their respective areas of responsibilities.
•Provide insight and input to appropriate engineering personnel to identify safety and environmental solutions – assist with implementation of same.
•Coordinate safety and environmental audits, document results, and coordinate corrective action activities.
•Supervise Emergency Response Plan - schedule unannounced drills (Evacuation, Shelter, Spill, Active Intruder, etc.).
•Oversee hazard assessment procedures and ensure updated documentation is prepared and available in accordance with the procedures.
•Oversee and direct efforts in obtaining certification to ISO 45001.
•Develop Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for new and existing tasks (routine and non-routine) to identify and eliminate hazards, and to provide training and re-training to supervisors and employees.
•Oversee periodic visits of contractors / 3rd party experts providing safety, health and environmental services.
•Oversee all Safety and Environmental Programs to ensure employees are qualified and well-trained.
•Oversee visits from regulatory agencies such as OSHA and EPA and prepare documented responses for review and approval.
•Manage Workers’ Compensation Claims (working with professional 3rd Party).
Bachelor’s degree in safety or related area, or equivalent work experience. CSP preferred
